Burghley 2025 – What a Start for Will & William!
What a brilliant Thursday it was at Burghley Horse Trials 2025! We were so proud watching our lovely brand ambassador Will Rawlin and Ballycoog Breaker Boy (or William, as he’s known at home) pull off a super dressage test. They posted a 28.8 which is a fantastic sub-30 score and left them right up at the top of the leaderboard.
The test had so many highlights, especially those first three flying changes – they were really uphill and expressive, and you could just see the judges loved them.
Proud Expert Bits Moment 💙
It was one of those pinch-me moments for us because Will is riding in our tack. He chose our Comfy Barrel Eggbutt (so soft and steady in the contact) and our Anatomical Grackle Bridle (gives loads of comfort by taking the pressure away in all the right places). Seeing our bits and bridles being used at Burghley, and helping horse and rider feel their best, is honestly so special.

With Piggy March and Alex Bragg just ahead, the leaderboard is tight – but a sub-30 at Burghley is something to celebrate on its own. The best part is that Will was riding with such confidence, and William looked so relaxed and happy in the arena.
Now it’s time to look ahead to cross-country day. Burghley is always a big challenge, but whatever happens, we’re just so proud of how far this partnership has come – and even prouder that Will is flying the flag for Expert Bits along the way.
