Comfy Mouth Hanging Cheek

Our Comfy Mouth range is manufactured using the highest-grade copper alloy making for a faster increase to mouth temperature when compared to traditional steel bits. Using this metal composition helps to increase salivation and comfort for the sensitive mouth tissues. The ergonomic design of our lozenge centre eliminates the discomfort of a single nutcracker action whilst the shape of the 14mm arms helps to relieve tongue pressure.

The Hanging Cheek

Contrary to popular misconception, the hanging cheek does NOT create poll pressure.

The Hanging Cheek design promotes stillness in the mouth having a single pivot action rather than freedom to slide (see Loose Ring). The top ring positioning and angle suspend the bit in the mouth relieving a % of the bit’s weight off the horse’s tongue.

Ideal for…

A more sensitive horse that doesn’t like too much movement from the bit or that needs relief from tongue pressure. Can also help horses that sit behind the contact lift to seek the contact
